It's a mixture of acrylic painting on canvas and a model of a bicycle
fixed on to railings made out of two coat hangers and some
wooden skewers. (a lot of fun in my workshop)

A mouse and an elephant was taking a stroll
When the elephant slipped and fell into a hole
The mouse told the elephant he’d be right back
Then went to get his new Cadillac
He pulled the elephant out of the pit
And everything was back legit
The very next day the two were back on a strut
But this time it was the mouse that got in a rut
The elephant was wise and pulled out his dick
It was long enough for the mouse to climb out quick
The moral of this story is today’s ‘fun fact’
“If you have a big dick, you don’t need a Cadillac!”

Two years ago an eye problem prompted me to pick up my paint box and brushes after a forty year break. This is a "use-it or lose-it" thing! I've had no formal art training, although Miss Fry, my Kindergarten Teacher did give me a "gold star" for a drawing of a horse I did when I was five! Since then, I have drawn cheques on my bank (but most of those bounced) and I have drawn breath! And my wife says that I can draw the curtains, but I must be very careful not to cause any damage - or it's curtains for me!

Flapper women were not only known for their 1920's fashions, but also their behavior, characterized by the extent to which it "pushed the envelope" of what was acceptable and "lady-like". They rode bicycles and drove cars, drank (often in public), smoked cigarettes through long holders, and were sexually liberated, throwing "petting parties", the Roaring Twenties equivalent of the modern sex party. As a further mark of their uniqueness and separateness, the flappers even had their own vocabulary, with expressions such as "snugglepup", being a man who attended a petting party, and "bamey-mugging" a term for having sex.

Had a really bad failure with a painting today - I tried to be so cleaver and paint a "coffee" scene with coffee, yes that's right, coffee not paint. But it all went wrong as the paper I used just acted like blotting paper with coffee, so what should have been sharp lines bled. Star*ucks!

My interpretation of the story about the birth of Tiger Lilies....

Legend has it that an old Korean wise-man turned hermit helped a wounded tiger by pulling out an arrow that was impaled in it's body.

At the tiger’s request, the hermit used his powers to perpetuate their friendship after death.

Later, when the tiger died, his body became a beautiful Tiger Lily. Eventually the hermit drowned and his body was washed away never to be seen again.

That is why the Tiger Lily has spread everywhere searching for it's friend.

There is a superstition that if you smell a Tiger Lily, you will be blessed with {or plagued with} freckles.

Tiger Lily with Butterflies

Tiger Lily .... dedicated to Esther from Sabah, Malaysian Borneo

Legend has it that an old Korean hermit helped a wounded tiger by pulling out an arrow that was impaled in it's body.
At the tigers request, the hermit used his powers to perpetuate their friendship after death.
Later, when the tiger died, his body became a beautiful Tiger Lily. Eventually the hermit drowned and his body was washed away never to be seen again.

That is why the Tiger Lily has spread everywhere searching for it's friend.

There is a superstition that if you smell a Tiger Lily, you will be blessed with {or plagued with} freckles.

Not such a coy koi!

Dedicated to my daughters .... Wendy & Emily cos' they fed my Koi in Steyning.

This is an A5 size Water Colour Painting, the aim was to use water colour paints in a high contrast and vibrant way!

Some masking was necessary to alow the white of the papar to show through.
